Dedicated Audiophile

Music has been an essential part of my daily life since early childhood. I was born and raised into a house where music never stopped playing. I see myself as a dedicated audiophile, always searching for the better sound. Meanwhile, I collect CDs, vinyls and digital media to to archieve music.

I am mainly a rock and jazz listener who mostly admires music of the 90s and the 70s. My favorite artists from the 90s and the 2000s include Pearl Jam, Bad Religion, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus, Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, Nirvana, Therapy?, Pennywise, Our Lady Peace, Radiohead, Guns N' Roses, Transatlantic, Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Opeth, Riverside, etc...  My favorite artists from the 70's include Steely Dan, Blood Sweat & Tears, Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Wishbone Ash, King Crimson, Yes, Camel, Passport, Jethro Tull, The Doors, Gentle Giant, Keef Hartley Band and the Beatles. I also like modern jazz artists such as Down to the Bone, Michael Franks, Maysa, Boney James, Rick Braun and many more...

Below, you can find a few of my favorite albums:

As an audiophile, I spend a lot of time listening to music in my home Hi-Fi setup. I also like following the news from the audio industry, researching, reviewing and trying different audio equipments as well as different combinations with an ultimate aim to find the better sound. My current Hi-Fi setup is based on McIntosh MA8000 and Wilson Audio Specialties Sophia Series 3 speakers. Previously, I've been a fan of Bowers and Wilkins 800 series speakers, but I'd like to experiment between the British and American house sound. I use a dedicated Apple Mac Mini in addition to Marantz equipment for listening to digital sources. I use a McIntosh Burr-Brown Delta-Sigma DAC for critical listening, Schiit Audio Multibit DAC running trough iFi Audio tubed output stage for a warm sound signature and a Pro-ject DAC with dual ESS Sabre ESS9038 chip for MQA and DSD high resolution files. For analog sources, I like using a Rega belt-drive turntable with a Denon MC cartridge and an Audio Technica MM cartridge featuring a micro linear stylus for modern recordings, and a Technics direct-drive turntable with a Shure V15 cartridge for having a taste of the 70s recordings. I prefer using Transparent Cable for my speakers in harmony with DH Labs interconnects and power cables in my setup which I believe add positively to the sound signature while offering a great price/performance ratio. In my second (vintage) setup, I use a 1976 Marantz 2250 running Infinity Speakers with an EMIT tweeter connected to a Marantz 5220 tape deck and a Dokorder  R2R deck. 70s' sound is fun!

As a music producer, in my home recording setup I prefer Fostex and KRK active monitor speakers. I use Gibson Guitars, Marshall Amplification, Boss effects processors and AKG microphones.

For car audio, I currently use Focal speakers, Audison amplification, interconnects and cables, Rockford Fosgate subwoofer and interactive signal processor.

For portable use, I prefer Shure IEM and PSB headphones. For home use, I prefer to use Beyerdynamic T1 dynamic headphones for critical listening and an Audezee LCD-3 planar magnetic headphone for relaxing. My headphone amp is an SPL Phonitor.
